Clear glass is the most honest of the antique bottle colors — nothing to hide behind, everything dependent on form. The bottles in this collection were recovered from New York City's historic waterfront, where pre-1950s glass was discarded alongside the shore for decades. Many pieces carry embossed lettering, bubbles from early manufacturing, or the subtle blue-green tint of early American glassmaking. Some have turned softly amethyst from prolonged sun exposure — a phenomenon collectors call sun-colored glass, entirely natural and irreversible. Each bottle is hand-sorted and arrives ready to style, display, or use as a bud vase.
