Crowley's was a major New York City area dairy operation that ran milk delivery routes through Brooklyn, the Bronx, and surrounding neighborhoods across the mid-twentieth century. The quart bottle was the standard household delivery size — left on doorsteps by milkmen before dawn and returned empty for reuse in a system that predated single-use packaging by several decades. The CM Co base mark confirms Crowley's Milk Company attribution, and the 52 date stamp places this bottle precisely in 1952, toward the end of the golden era of milk bottle delivery in New York.
