The wear is heavy and even throughout, softening the front lettering into a soft, frosted texture. The back reads ELMHURST CREAM CO INC DEPOSIT BOTTLE, and the base carries EC and 51, dating production to 1951.
Elmhurst Cream Co Inc operated out of Jamaica, on Long Island, and small half-pint deposit bottles like this one were a common mid-century dairy form.
