A wide-mouth clear glass jar embossed on both the front and back: DAN-DEE. The Dan-Dee brand was a major Northeast snack food label from the 1940s through the 1960s, known primarily for potato chips and packaged snacks distributed across New York and the surrounding region. Commercial glass jars from this era were often reused as household containers after purchase — making them a small but meaningful part of mid-century domestic life.
Dimensions: 7.75" H × 4" diameter | Weight: 19.2 oz | Clear glass | Minor surface scratches — very good overall condition.
The wide mouth and generous proportions make this one of the most functional vintage jars for modern display. Fill it with dried lavender, cotton stems, or a small pampas cutting for a farmhouse kitchen centerpiece; use it as a utensil holder on a cottagecore open shelf; fill it with votives or pillar candles for a vintage entertaining tablescape; or display it as a collector piece alongside other mid-century Northeast snack packaging. The embossed DAN-DEE name gives it the kind of brand character that printed labels can't replicate.
Recovered from New York City's historic shorelines and landfill sites by Brooklyn Sea Glass. All bottles listed individually and ship carefully packed.
