A genuine piece of Old New York, rescued from NYC beaches during cleanup efforts and given new life. This bottle bottom comes from an authentic 1940s–1950s Coca-Cola bottle. Some are found nearly whole and need only a trim near the base, others turn up already broken down from decades of wear.
Each piece is embossed with "NEW YORK" or "NEW YORK N.Y.", with a soft seafoam green patina built up from years of exposure on NYC beaches. We finish each piece with an in-house tumble to smooth the edges for safe handling, preserving the embossing and color underneath.
Details:
• Authentic 1940s–1950s Coca-Cola glass
• NYC embossed markings visible on most pieces
• Seafoam green patina from years of beach exposure
• Trimmed and finished smooth in-house for safe handling
• Sold individually
For collectors, this is a real relic of mid-century New York, no two alike. For crafters and DIYers, the circular base and smooth finish also make a natural drawer pull, cabinet knob base, or display piece. Either way, you're keeping a piece of history out of the landfill and giving it a second purpose.
