Forest green was one of the signature colors of mid-century American spirits glass — used for wine, imported spirits, and premium domestic bottlings where the dark glass protected contents from light degradation. The depth of color in bottles from this era is a function of the original glass batch composition and cannot be replicated in modern production; contemporary green glass is optically thinner and less saturated. The production marking 98 on the base is a mold or batch code rather than a year, placing this within the mid-century production window without a precise date.

No brand embossing. The bottle is unembossed aside from the base production code — its identity lives entirely in the form and the glass color.

Condition is good with authentic vintage character. A few deep scratches on the back; the front face is pristine. No chips or cracks. The forest green color is consistent throughout.
