Glasgow's Bloch Brothers distillery exported its spirits internationally through much of the twentieth century, and this amber bottle carries the distillery's embossed markings as a direct link to that history of Scottish whisky-making and trade. The minor scratches across its surface read less as damage and more as evidence that the bottle was used and appreciated in its working life.
