Some bottles come out of the ocean looking untouched. This amber flask isn't one of them, and that's the appeal — the scratches, light patina, and worn surface are honest evidence of time spent on the beach, not a flaw to work around. The classic mid-century rectangular flask form carries Federal Law embossing that dates it to between 1935 and 1964, the regulation put in place to stop bootleggers from refilling commercial spirits bottles.

Embossing: FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR RE-USE OF THIS BOTTLE on the body, with R94 on the base.

Condition is good, with beach-worn patina throughout. A small chip at the mouth is visible in photos; the rest of the glass is intact.

Dimensions: 6.75" H × 3" W × 1.5" D | Amber glass | Good condition with honest surface wear

Well suited to a Neo Deco or Dark Academia bar cart where imperfect, well-traveled objects read as more interesting than pristine ones — the kind of piece that looks like it's been somewhere.

Recovered from New York City's historic shorelines and landfill sites by Brooklyn Sea Glass. Ships carefully packed.
