Lord Calvert Canadian Whisky was a product of Calvert Distillers, one of the major American spirits companies of the mid-twentieth century. The Lord Calvert name evoked colonial-era prestige and was positioned as a premium blended whisky for the American market — the MADE IN USA marking on this bottle indicating domestic production rather than Canadian import, despite the Canadian-style branding. The 1952 date places this bottle at the peak of American postwar spirits consumption, when domestic production was at its mid-century height and blended whiskies dominated the American market.
Embossing: LORD CALVERT on the front face; MADE IN USA on the body. Base carries production markings with 1952 date code. Embossing sharp and fully readable throughout.
Condition is excellent. No chips or cracks. Clean amber glass with authentic age-appropriate patina throughout.
Dimensions: 10.75" H × 3.5" W | Amber glass | Excellent vintage condition
Lord Calvert is a recognized name in mid-century American spirits collecting — the brand’s premium positioning and the MADE IN USA attribution give it historical specificity that generic unbranded bottles lack. A natural bar cart centerpiece alongside other 1950s American whisky bottles, or a statement bud vase for tall dried stems where the amber and the embossed name provide warm visual grounding. The 1952 date code adds historical specificity that matters to Federal Law era collectors.
