This pair of teal glass bottles captures two very different moments in glassmaking history: a mid-century Danish beer bottle and a hand-tooled American antique made half a century earlier.
The base of the Danish bottle reads ØL, the Danish word for beer, alongside Kastrup Glassworks' hexagonal trademark logo, placing its production in the 1950s to early 1960s. The second bottle carries a mismatched lip seam and hand-chiseled mold-tracking marks on its base, evidence it was made by the W.H. Hamilton Glass Company of Pittsburgh sometime between 1895 and 1910, before automated bottle machines took over the industry.
Both bottles show regular wear with minor scratches consistent with age. No chips or cracks. This is authentic vintage character, not damage.
